Nutrition Disclaimer

1.The credential

Demitry Davidson holds the NASM Certified Nutrition Coach (NASM-CNC) credential. A Certified Nutrition Coach is qualified to provide general nutrition education and coaching to healthy adults within the scope of that certification.

A Certified Nutrition Coach is not a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN), a licensed nutritionist, or a licensed medical provider, and does not practice dietetics, medical nutrition therapy, or medicine. Where state law reserves certain nutrition services to licensed professionals, those services are outside the scope of coaching here.

2.What nutrition coaching is

Within the scope of the credential, nutrition coaching may include:

• general education on energy balance, protein, carbohydrates, fats, fiber, and hydration;
• practical guidance on meal structure, portions, and habits to support training goals;
• general strategies for consistency, planning, and behavior change;
• support in setting realistic, goal-aligned nutrition targets for a healthy adult.

This guidance is general and educational. It is information to help you make your own informed choices.

3.What nutrition coaching is not

Nutrition coaching here is not:

• Medical nutrition therapy — the assessment and treatment of a medical condition through diet, which is the practice of dietetics;
• Diagnosis or treatment of any disease, disorder, deficiency, or condition;
• A meal plan or diet prescription intended to treat a diagnosed condition;
• Care for an eating disorder or disordered eating, which requires licensed clinical treatment;
• A substitute for advice from your physician, Registered Dietitian, or other licensed healthcare provider.

4.Medical conditions

If you have a medical condition affected by diet — including but not limited to diabetes or other metabolic conditions, kidney or liver disease, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, food allergies, an eating disorder history, pregnancy, or any condition for which a provider has given you dietary instructions — your nutrition care belongs with your physician and a Registered Dietitian.

We will not override, replace, or contradict the dietary instructions of your licensed providers. We will coach training and general nutrition habits around those instructions, and we may recommend that you consult an RD or physician before making nutrition changes.

5.Supplements

Any discussion of dietary supplements is general and educational. We do not diagnose nutrient deficiencies and do not prescribe supplements. Dietary supplements are not regulated as medications, can interact with medications and conditions, and should be discussed with your physician or pharmacist before use. Decisions about supplements are yours to make with a licensed provider.

6.Your responsibility

You are responsible for your own food choices and for disclosing your allergies, intolerances, medical conditions, medications, and any dietary instructions from your providers. General nutrition guidance is offered on the assumption that you are a healthy adult unless you have told us otherwise. If anything we discuss conflicts with advice from a licensed provider, follow your licensed provider.

7.Acceptance

By accepting this Disclaimer, you confirm that you understand the scope and limits of nutrition coaching described here, and that you will not rely on it as medical or dietetic care. You accept it by checking the acknowledgment box that references this page during onboarding or any other intake we use, or by beginning a coaching engagement after we have presented it for review.

This Disclaimer supplements our Terms of Service and Service Agreement, and is governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico.
